The British Motor Corporation operates its own car factory in the Australian city of Zetland, which employs around 2,500 people. It is after General Motors, Ford and Chrysler the fourth largest automobile factory in Australia. They built the Morris Mini, the Morris Mini Moke, the Morris 1100 and the Austin 1800. Contrary to the original, the two mini models have a 998 instead of the 848 cc engine, also larger brakes and some other changes, such as opening windows in the sedan.
In August the 1100 "S" is introduced with a bigger 1,275cc engine
